New actress alert! We’ve got some details on actress Harley Graham, who stars in the upcoming surfing movie, Chasing Mavericks, starring Gerard Butler. Check out our exclusive question and answer session!

MissExclusive.com: Tell us about your film Chasing Mavericks.
Harley Graham: The film is about the youngest maverick wave surfer Jay Moriarty. It’s about his life, his relationships and his surfing. Jay died at the age of 23 in a free diving accident.

MissExclusive.com: You play the younger version of Jay’s wife. Describe your character for us.
Harley Graham: Yes, I play young Kim. Jay and Kim are best friends. She is there for him through his family troubles and learning to surf. Their relationship turns more serious in high school and they end up getting married right out of school.

MissExclusive.com: You also voice an animated character. (Note: Harley can be heard voicing the role of “Princess Clio” in the new Disney Channel animated series “Sophia the First”) What’s the difference in voicing a character and playing one?
Harley Graham: Voicing Princess Clio is so cool. She is one of the youngest of the princesses. Doing voice over work is great because it’s more relaxed, it moves quickly and, if you want, you can come in your pajamas because no one sees you!

MissExclusive.com: Princess Clio teaches kindness & generosity. If you were Princess Harley, what would your best qualities be?
Harley Graham:If I were a princess my best qualities would be kindness, honesty and something to do with anti-bullying. I would let kids know its okay to be different and that they should embrace who they are and not be bullied into being who they are not. I also would save all the animals from shelters.

MissExclusive.com: Do you have any favorite on-set moments?
Harley Graham: Oh yes, I loved working with the cast and the director on “iCarly”. They were so nice and supportive. Also in Thor working with Director Kenneth Branagh was really cool. The whole set was a green screen, so I really learned a lot.

MissExclusive.com: Describe your summer style.
Harley Graham: My summer style is very beachy: shorts, sandals, swimming suits. I love bright colors, so everything is very bright and colorful.

MissExclusive.com: What’s your favorite summer activity?
Harley Graham: Swimming and hanging out with my friends.

MissExclusive.com: What’s on your iPod these days?
Harley Graham: Lots of Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Adele, Taylor Swift and some rock from the 70′s. My parents got me into that. Also I listen to some house music my brother mixes. He is a DJ.

MissExclusive.com: What was your favorite part of the Olympics?
Harley Graham: Absolutely, I love watch the diving, swimming and gymnastics. They all trained so hard to get there. I think they are all so awesome. Go USA!!
