Nanny Agatha, played by Jennifer Veal, New York City’s most intimidating nanny, first appeared on Disney‘s “Jessie” last month, butting heads with fellow nanny Jessie (Debby Ryan). Now, Agatha’s twin sister Angela is in town, and Jessie suspects she is trying to steal her job and also catch Tony’s eye! Jennifer dished about the episode in her own words:

“Agatha has a twin sister called Angela, which I play both of the characters, and she turns up in Central Park and gets introduced to Jessie. She basically moves in as the live-in maid… And Agatha and [Jessie] actually end up getting together and fight against Angela. I think people are going to enjoy Agatha and Jessie kind of getting along.”

Since Agatha requires Jennifer to wear mounds of make-up, a fake mole, and a snaggletooth, we asked Jennifer if people ever recognize her out on the street:

“No… Not as much, really. I do sometimes get recognized and people will say, very confused, ‘Are you on the television? We recognized you from your voice.’ So if I talk a lot, people sometimes recognize me… but otherwise, no.”

Since Jennifer is now playing both Angela & Agatha, we asked her which she likes better:

“Honestly, to play, Agatha is a lot of fun. It’s so much fun as an actress to just really create a character which is so far from yourself. But then, it is quite nice to be actually able to have makeup put on you rather than just a mole and a snaggletooth. Angela is… it was nice to be able to play someone that looks like myself. But otherwise, I think Agatha is definitely more of a character.”

Disney starlet Raini Rodriguez is hitting the big screen again! The “Austin & Ally” actress’ new movie Girl In Progress is about single mom Grace (Eva Mendes). She is too busy juggling work, bills, and the very married Dr. Harford (Matthew Modine), to give her daughter, Ansiedad (Cierra Ramirez) the attention she desperately needs. When Ansiedad’s English teacher, Ms. Armstrong (Patricia Arquette), introduces her students to classic coming-of-age stories, Ansiedad is inspired to skip adolescence and jump-start her life without mom. While Grace becomes preoccupied with the increasing affections of her co-worker (Eugenio Derbez), Ansiedad enlists the help of her loyal friend, Tavita (Rodriguez), to plot her shortcut to “adulthood”. But as her misguided plan unravels, Ansiedad and Grace must learn that sometimes growing-up means acting your age.

Dearest Butterflies,
Hello loves! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a journal entry. My apologies; been so busy lately. Just wanted to send you guys a quick update!
As you’ve seen from my twitter updates… I’ve had a very fun but messy past couple of weeks getting slimed. Ohh, to be in the Nickelodeon family– never a dull moment, that’s for sure! I’m sure a lot of you guys have already know what I was a part of. Not really hard to “figure it out”. hehehehe.

This week was pretty insane. Last Friday, we took my dad to the doctor and found out that he had a 90% blockage in the main artery of his heart. So this week has been spent with him at the hospital. He had open heart bypass surgery on Monday morning, and after a very scary and worrisome few hours, his doctor came out of the operating room to tell me and mom that the surgery was successful. He spent a couple days in the ICU, and they moved him to a normal room yesterday… And the best news of all? We’re going to pick him up from the hospital today! He’s coming home. We’re so grateful that the surgery was successful. It was a very stressful few days, but we’re happy to report that dad is doing well and looking forward to coming home and eating non-hopsital food. (Seriously, why is hospital food always so gross?)

Aaaaand in other news, in the midst of all this craziness, I am now sick. So I am drinking tea and sucking throat lozenges as I type this journal entry. I feel like I got hit by a bus. And a train. And a car. At the same time. But it’s all good.

Before I go pick up dad, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone at St. Bernardine’s hospital for taking such good care of my dad. Dr. Malki and Dr. Ruiz, thank you for everything. You guys are incredible. We couldn’t have asked for better doctors or nurses to take care of him!

And to all the friends and family that called and texted constantly over the past few days to check up on dad & to make sure that mom & I were okay– thank you for all of your love, support, and prayers. It means more than you know. We love you guys.

Alright kiddos. I’m off to pick up dad.
